If you sell and/or service computers, or design and/or support web sites, you may want to become an ald.net Services reseller so you can expand the range of services you can offer.

As a reseller, your clients remain your clients, and you receive a 20% discount off the standard monthly rate for the services you resell. You may charge your clients whatever you choose. Setup fees, if any, are not discounted.

To be a reseller you must have one of our dialup, leased line, or web page accounts and have a Vendor's license number and tax exemption on file with us. (We don't collect sales tax from you for your clients. You charge your clients any applicable sales tax, and you submit the sales tax to the Ohio Department of Taxation).

Our understanding is that internet services for personal use are exempt from sales tax, but that internet services used by a business to make a profit are to be charged sales tax, at least currently. You should consult with a tax attorney to be sure you you get the latest and best advice.

Tax Exemption Certificate must be filled out. You must have a vendor's license number in order not to be charged for the tax on your user's accounts.

To apply for a Vendor's License, call the auditor's office for your county or the state department of taxation.

Login Name Prefix:

For dialup accounts, login names can either be assigned or custom. Assigned logins are preferable, because you can assure that there will be no name conflict when we create the account. For custom login names we ask for a second and third choice in case of conflict.

Assigned logins are similar to ald111, where the first 3 or 4 letters are identifiers unique to your business. You can choose the 3 or 4 letters that will be used for your prefix.

If you have your own domain name and use our mail server as your mail server, we can configure your dialup client to have their email address in your domain. e.g. EmailID@yourdomain.com. By default your client's email address will be emailID@ald.net.
